The Apple Macintosh I am a Macintosh user and proud of it! For my money, the Macintosh platform is the most integrated, easiest to use and maintain of any computing platform I have used. Over the years, I've accumulated a variety of sites which I regularly use, that you may find useful and informative: General Macintosh Links Website for the company that produces Macintosh computers. The site includes information, updates and news about the Macintosh and the MacOS. Also be sure to check out the Apple Store for build-to-order systems sold directly over the web. An excellent troubleshooting/informational resource for any Mac user who wants to know what's in their MacOS System Folder. Shareware. Macintosh News Sites A great resource for news, updates and features. Good quality, in-depth reporting on Mac topics. Original Mac news and information site since 1994. Updated Daily. Your Macintosh Destination! Go2Mac.com provides up to date information on the Macintosh, Powerbook and Palm related topics. A good source for Mac and Apple News. In depth reports and rumors pertaining to Apple and MacOS. Excellent articles about a variety of hardware, software and conferences, updated daily. Think Secret is the source for rumors, insider information, news, and gossip for Macintosh users. Updated every business day. All sorts of useful Macintosh information. Articles and commentary on computing and the Macintosh platform. A wide variety of opinions are expressed here. Macintosh Magazines An excellent e-mail/web e-zine with well written articles, reviews and opinion-- all delivered to your e-mailbox for free. You can sign up via the web at their site. Check out the news and the shareware area at this site-- a good amount of useful stuff. An old standby for weekly Mac news. A Great online magazine, providing resources such as articles and shareware. The printed version of the magazine includes a CD-ROM chock full-o-stuff each month! You may subscribe at this site. Macintosh Shareware An excellent, in-depth resource for shareware and commercial updates, listing current versions of Macintosh software with frequent updates. Another searchable site with LOTS of shareware! An easy to use web interface, as well as a 'pick of the week' file. Check out Trygve Inda's variety of slick shareware time-related utilities including: Time Palette, which can display several time zones in a neat floating palette you can place anywhere on your desktop, the notepad replacement Note Palette which sports added features in a small RAM footprint and MacQibla which plots the correct direction and times for Islamic prayers, useful for Muslims or travelers to the Middle-East.
