A Few Good PDA Websites

Every now and then I like to make mention of other sites I like to visit. When I've done this in the past, it seemed well-received, so I've decided to do it again. As well as mentioning the site, I'll also offer a bit of background on each destination.

MobileRead.com
This site provides three nice features: first, a good listing of news items in blog form, added by the MobileRead staff. Secondly, the site has a nice forum scene going on, where members discuss the items mentioned on the site. Lastly, you can find Turcic's iSilo Web Channel Collection here — this is a huge collection of mobile friendly links for iSilo users, that I'd mentioned back in my Palm Tipsheet days.

Watchster.com
This site is interesting, in that it aggregates news feeds from around the web hourly, and presents them in a huge listing. This is a great place to see a glimpse of the memes in the PDA world, though unfortunately not every source is listed here. These guys also offer Mac, Mac Rumors, Tech, and iTunes/iPod aggregation sites.

PocketFactory.com
Kent Pribbernow has a very nice weblog/news site, with interesting articles and viewpoints. One of his recent articles, Still Waiting for the Perfect Palm was a very good read for me this week in fact. Kent also gets points for a nice design and heavy use of orange in the color scheme. :-)

Hopefully one or all of these sites will provide some good reading and/or food for thought on the world of PDAs and gadgets.

Have a great weekend!
